We would not be able to fulfill our mission without the time and dedication of our volunteers. Each year, the operation of the pantry requires more than 5500 hours of work contributed by more than 200 registered volunteers.  You can volunteer as often or as little as you like to suit your schedule.

Getting Started

**You must be 18 to volunteer for most jobs at the pantry. But there are still many opportunities for school age volunteers to contribute to our work and earn community service hours.  If you are under 18 please go to the “Opportunities for Youth” page to get started.

All volunteers must attend an orientation. Regular orientations are held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 2 pm at the Pantry or other times by special arrangement. To register for orientation, contact our Operations Manager, Natalie Stewart at natalie@corafoodpantry.org. You will be taken on a tour of the pantry and registered on Volunteer Hub, our on-line volunteer schedule, where  you can sign up for shifts that fit your schedule. If you wish to volunteer for client services or stocking our shelves, you will shadow an experienced volunteer until you feel comfortable working on your own.
